  I am a victim of Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane’s (of Fulton County Superior Court) OUTRAGEOUS child custody orders. Judge Lane was the presiding judge in my July 29, 2013, divorce trial. Judge Lane took my son from me. She awarded custody of my 13 year old son, to an abusive father. I have been stripped of all of my parental rights, plus the Judge has made it impossible for me to see my son, who now lives in Jacksonville, FL with his abusive father. Todd Orston represented my ex-husband, Marshall Haas, throughout 6 years of proceedings. He claims that he has not been paid for his services over the past 4 years, yet he continues to represent my ex-husband! Do you know of any attorney that would represent someone without getting paid!! Because of Todd Orston, Marshall Haas and Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane, I am now homeless and on welfare. I could not afford an attorney for the trail. I was forced to represent myself. I handled my case professionally and with solid evidence to prove that my ex-husband is incapable of raising a child. I am a methodical, analytical and a very driven woman/mother. I keep every piece of paper that comes into my possession. I have learned over the past 6 years in family court, how to present evidence in a cohesive manner to prove a case. I have boxes of evidence that not only proves that my Marshall Haas is abusive and incapable of parenting a child but that he is a thief. I was also subjected to abuse from Marshall’s two sons, Blake and Grant Haas. At the end of my 2 day divorce trial, Judge Lane stated that she had watched me become a lawyer in just two days. However, her final divorce decree awarded not only custody of my son to an abusive father, but she awarded Marshall Haas in excess of $40,000, that I must pay. I have to pay child support of $265 a month. I have to pay his storage fees. I also have to pay his son, Blake Haas, $10,000 in 60 days. Marshall Haas stole 3 years of my son's social security for a total of $30,000. Judge Lane forgave him of the debt. Marshall owed me 16 months of child support. Judge Lane forgave him of the debt. I provided evidence that Marshall Haas stole in excess of $500,000, from a frozen 1.1 million dollar marital fund. Todd Orston, who was the Court ordered manager of the frozen marital asset, distributed funds not only to Marshall Haas, but to himself, other attorneys, Marshall’s accountant, George Hilegass, the IRS, and others, NONE Of WHICH WERE AUTHOURIZED BY THE COURT NOR MY APPROVAL. These are facts, not mere accusations. Based on these facts, I believe Marshall Haas and Todd Orston paid Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane for her ruling. I was awarded a 2003 Tahoe with 180,000 miles, which I have driven for 3 years with an expired tag. Todd Orston and Marshall Haas have refused to give me proof of ownership to allow me to register the car. In the trial, Mr. Orston requested the car be sold and to split the proceeds of the sale with my ex-husband. I’m surprised that Judge Lane actually gave me a 2003 Tahoe with 180,000 miles. During th course of 3 years, I had to rent cars to drive to Georgia from North Carolina, to pick up my son. I asked for repayment of the car rental fees. My request was denied. Marshall was 16 months behind on child support. I asked Judge Lane to force Marshall to pay his past child support. My request was denied. And finally the biggest blow, the court appointed guardian ad litem and psychologist, recommended that I have sole custody. I was denied. With all of the allegations of bias rulings surrounding Judge Lane, I believe Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane was paid for her ruling. I believe Todd Orston, Marshall Haas and Judge Lane should face criminal charges. Children’s safety and well-being should not be at the mercy of Judge Lane. She should be removed from the bench.
